I started blogging and don't really know how to get started but would like all of my friends to follow the blog. I won't bore you with what I had to eat for breakfast, ok, unless it was REALLY good, ya'll know I'm a foodie that loves the simple comfort foods all the way up to the fanciest fine dining experiences life has to offer. I am looking at the cigarette match book from Galatoire's in NOLA that reminds me of a story I should blog. In my blog you get to know me and hopefully laugh and be entertained a bit. I will talk about my travels my interests, yadda yadda yadda. I would love to put a smile on your face, but am not going to shy away from anything really. Sometimes my writing might be a bit of a downer but hey sometimes life is tough and the burden is easy when shared, same with joy.

I don't know what I have to say to the world but have always wanted to be a writer and have a whopper of a life story on my hands, to good to make up honestly. I do feel that I am special and hope everyone feels that way about themselves. I have been told I am very cocky sometimes but I don't think I am entitled to anything or better than anyone else. That being said I don't think I am lesser to anybody either, and if I see an opportunity I don't mind going after it one bit, this is America and thus a very competitive environment. Please follow me and feel free to express yourself in any way to my comments, after all a few negative comments won't hurt me after all I have been through

Summer at last

I am new to the blogging world but I have a lot to say! First and foremost, happy Summer Solstice to everyone. I hope the summer of MMX will be one to remember. I have already been on a camping trip and will be finally able to head to the ocean next weekend. I absolutely love to travel and it doesn't take much to get me excited for a road trip. I won't be able to road trip to often this summer because I am so busy. It will be a very busy summer as I am in school taking a couple of classes, one of them math and which is seriously testing my patience. I am also on the Senate and we are in the process of forming our new school's constitution and other preliminary documents, very exciting stuff! What I am really excited about is blogging about the Snake River Stampede! I have never even been to a rodeo and even before being selected as someone who is trying to spread the word about www.snakeriverstampede.com I decided to learn more about it. I am treating it as a trip or a vacation and anybody who knows me knows I do research for my vacations. I read travel books, look at tons of maps, read reviews of restaurants. I learn about the local music, where the music venues are, what a place's most popular radio stations are. I check out from the local library CDs that lend me the spirit of my travel site, believe me I get some weird looks sometimes from the librarians. I check out books and movies that lend me visual clues as well. I remember even watching Wild Hogs before my trip to New Mexico, of course I also watched Young Guns again. For the last week I have been reading rodeo books from the library, I thought about watching Bronco Billy again. I want to immerse myself in the rodeo culture and really live it up. Luckily we have one the best rodeos right in my back yard and it will be here in less than a month.
